Tree Crew Groundsperson (One position)

Position Objective: The tree crew groundsperson assists tree climbers safely and skillfully in all aspects of tree removal and pruning services, including operating ropes in tree removal rigging operations, and properly maintaining and operating all tools and equipment.  The tree crew groundsperson works with a variety of crew members ensuring hazard-free work areas and excellent service to clients. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with ropes in rigging operations.
  • Maintains, prepares, and operates all tools including chain saws and aerial lifts.
  • Operates small equipment including skid steer, mini skid steer, and stump grinder.
  • Cuts, chips, and clears logs, limbs, and debris.
  • Keeps job site safe and organized.
  • Drives trucks with trailers.
  • Adheres to OSHA regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.  
  • Provides outstanding customer service to clients.
  • Identifies and reports potential hazards to prevent damage to persons or property.

Marginal Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience and Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • CDL highly preferred; or the ability to obtain CDL within 3 months of hiring date.
  • Previous work experience as a tree groundsperson or similar position preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue additional training and certifications as needed.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment

  • Routine job hazards such as drop zones, loud noise, woodchipper dust, gasoline, and diesel exhaust, chemicals including fuel, oil, and pesticides, and electrical hazards.  
  • Some work may be performed in a workshop environment where it may be loud, dusty, hot, or cold.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment.
Plant Health Care Technician

What You’ll Do:

The Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician applies the appropriate plant diagnostic skills
and is responsible for the safe delivery and application of PHC services including fertilization and integrated pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools. The PHC Technician also assists tree crews during off-peak application periods.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Complies with supervisor instructions and directives on work orders for selecting, mixing, and applying fertilizers and pesticides. 
  • Provides outstanding communication with clients regarding their prescribed services and treatment follow-up. 
  • Follows industry standards and company policies regarding the storage and handling of pesticide products during application and mixing products.
  • Understands and adheres to product label instructions.
  • Using spray and injection tools, perform the prescribed fertilization and integrated pest management on trees and shrubs.
  • Identifies and reports potential hazards to prevent damage to persons or property.

      Office Administrator

      Position Objective: The Office Administrator possesses professional courtesy and acumen and is crucial in keeping the day-to-day operations running smoothly. The office administrator performs multifaceted clerical and administrative tasks, customer service, human resource assistance,  sales support, and accounting tasks such as invoicing, budget tracking, and payroll duties

       

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Collaborates, communicates, and facilitates exceptional customer service to all levels of staff and clients. 
      • Manages emails, letters, mail, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
      • Collaborates with the Sales team to effectively schedule service and appointments.
      • Provides administrative support for the Sales team.
      • Assists with firewood and mulch sales.
      • Performs assigned tasks in Arborgold software, such as setting up new clients , managing messages, and generating invoices for services.
      • Completes accounting tasks through QuickBooks, including invoicing and budget tracking for sales.
      • Assists with various activities throughout the company to ensure efficiency and maintain compliance with company policy.

      Marginal Responsibilities:

      • Tracks and replenishes office supplies.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

       

      Education/Experience Requirements

      • Highschool or equivalent education.
      • 2-5 years of work experience in a similar role.
      • Proficient in using MS Office. 
      • Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
